Step 1
SHEETS Once the comforter is on the bed, no one can tell if your sheets are tucked in. Just leave the corners untucked, smooth out the bottom sheet and pull the blankets over the top. If you can't stand an untucked sheet, try using a backscratcher, ruler, or wooden spoon to push the sheet around the corners. That way you can have the bed the way you like it and keep lower back pain away.
-
Step 2
STOP REACHING ACROSS Take making the bed slowly and divide the job into four parts. Do one corner, then the next, then the next. This will keep you from reaching across the bed.
-
Step 3
ELIMINATE LAYERS The fewer sheets and blankets, the less work you have. If you are cold at night, invest in one very warm comforter instead of several blankets. Some stores like IKEA, rate their comforters for temperature to help you get the best fit for your tastes. Eliminate the top sheet. If you must have a top sheet, attach it to your comforter with a few stitches on the corners or some Velcro.
-
Step 4
CHEAT Once you have the bed made the way you like it, make a little mark on the sheet and blankets showing where they should lay over the side of the bed. This will help you the next time so you won't have to readjust the covers for an even look.
