Store low fat microwaveable popcorn for a snack high in fiber and keep unsweetened applesauce too. One cup is the equivalent of one whole apple. Keep cereal that contains three or more grams of fiber in it per serving. Store canned tuna for a low fat protein meal and keep low-sodium vegetarian soups for quick, convenient meals.

  4. Step 4

Bottled water is a must have in your pantry. Purchase some of the new Crystal Light powder packages to add to your bottled water for a variety of flavors.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not put any tempting high fat foods in your pantry. If you can't eat it, don't buy it.
  • Do not overstock your pantry. Too much of a low fat snack or meal is not low fat.

on 7/26/2009 Overall, some good suggestions, but bottled water is expensive, not ecologically sound and is no better than tap water. Instead buy reusable plastic bottles fill them with water and store in your refrigerator. You can use your one serving drink mixes in them.
