Making a snow angel is fun and easy to do and you can do it by yourself or with a group of people. The first Snow Angel was invented by Anna Thomas in 1904. She had fallen backwards on the snow and when she got up she saw that she had made an angel figure. Read on to learn how you can make a snow angel.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Snow
  1. Step 1
    Snow everywhere.
    Snow everywhere.

    You need at least 4 inches of snow in order to make a good snow angel. A fresh snow fall will help you make the best angel.

  2. Step 2

    Find a nice clear spot where there is nothing sticking out of the ground like tree roots, rocks, or sleds and there is still plenty of snow, otherwise you will expose the grass or rocks.

  3. Step 3
    Fall back into the snow
    Fall back into the snow

    Walk to your chosen spot, then turn around and fall backwards into the snow.

  4. Step 4
    Move your arms up and down.
    Move your arms up and down.

    Start waving your arms up and down in the snow to create the wings and spreading your legs back and forth to create the dress. You will need to repeat this process several times to make a good impression in the snow.

  5. Step 5
    A couple of Angels
    A couple of Angels

    When you get up, backtrack and step into the same footprints you made before you fell backwards. For extra fun, do it with a friend and make two angels.
