Step 1
If your cord runs behind a table that is up against a wall, consider putting a tall accessory under that table, such as a stack of books or a large vase.
-
Step 2
To reduce the visibility of a cord along a wall, consider using a cord cover. These hard plastic raceways, found at most home improvement stores, can be painted to match your wall.
-
Step 3
For a more expensive option, consider having the electrical or cable outlet moved so the cord does not have to stretch so far.
-
Step 4
There are new hollow baseboards on the market today that allow your cables to run behind the baseboards.
-
Step 5
Consider painting the cord itself the color of the wall or floor in order to make it less visible.
-
Step 6
You can cover a cord in a silk sleeve so the cord is not seen, but the sleeve will be very visible.
-
Step 7
Consider running cables on the back side of furniture that is up against the wall in order to keep the cables from being visible on the floor.
-
Step 8
If all else fails, consider replacing your corded item with a battery powered one instead.
