Open Up A PSP

If your PSP screen broke or perhaps the analog stick is stuck you're going to have to open up the PSP to fix it. It might sound easy, and for some it is, but to be safe, read this guide step by step on how to do everything!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A PSP
  • Screwdriver
  • Replacement item (screen, analog stick etc)
  1. Step 1

First remove your memory card and UMD if there are any in the PSP. Next locate all of the screws (as shown in the picture).

  2. Step 2

Carefully unscrew each screw, and make sure you remember where each one went since they are not the same, they vary in both size and color. Also, the bottom left two, under the battery, may be covered by a warranty sticker, which you have to remove (and therefore you void your warranty with Sony).

  3. Step 3

Next take off the faceplate. What you do next is up to you, some might be replacing a faceplate, so all you need to to is the old one with the new one. If your are replacing a screen, analog stick or something else then search for another guide on how to do so.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be very careful with your PSP open and make sure nothing gets inside of it!
