How to Personalize an Ornament for The Christmas Tree

One of the best gifts to give is a very beautiful glass ornament. I love to have my children give these to their teachers.

Things You'll Need:

• Plain glass ornaments
• Glass glue from craft store
• Glitter

1. 
    

   Step one is to buy plain glass ornaments. You can buy these at your local craft store. But the ones from Dollar Tree work just as well and turn out just as beautiful for far less money. Also buy glass glue. You can use hot glue, but it doesnt last nearly as long. And also buy glitter in many different colors.

   Step 2 is to lay down some old newspaper or an old sheet that you dont mind throwing away. Have the kids sit with you because you dont want the glass to break or for the house to be covered in glitter.

   Then let yourself and your childs creativity shine through. You can put just about any design on the ornaments that you like. I personally like to make a spiral from the bottom of the ornament all the way to the top, buy any design will do. Use the glue to carefully and quickly make your design then sprinkle on the glitter.

   Now allow the ornaments plenty of time to dry. I like to sit ours on old yogurt containers so that the design doesnt smear. Then carefully wrap in a gift bag and you have the perfect gift!
