Determine your text messaging habits. Verizon's INpulse pay as you go plan does not include unlimited mobile-to-mobile txt messaging. If that is a feature that you utilize frequently, look into their text-messaging bundle. As of this writing, it costs $10 per month for unlimited mobile messaging.

Analyze your calls to see if you generally make calls to other mobile phones on the Verizon network. The three Verizon INpulse pay as you go plans offer unlimited calling to other mobile phones on the network. If your friends and family are all on Verizon, you can't go wrong with any of these plans.

      Cell Phone Network

Chart your non-network calls. Take an honest look at your non mobile-to-mobile calls. Depending on the pay as you go plan you choose, you can spend as little as 2 cents per minute call to as much as 10 cents per minutes per call.

Review how frequently you use the phone. The three INpulse plans charge a daily fee for each day you actually use the phone. The fee currently ranges from $.99 to $2.99 per day. The higher the daily fee, the lower the out of network per minute call rate. For instance, the $2.99 per day plan (called INpulse Power) charges 2 cents per minute for out of network calls while the 99 cent plan (INpulse Core) charges 10 cents a minute for out of network calls. The middle plan (INpulse Plus) charges $1.99 per day but 5 cents per minute for out of network calls.
