Save Time & Money Buying Christmas Gifts
Save Time & Money Buying Christmas Gifts

Are you trying to buy Christmas gifts but have a smaller budget than usual. Learn a few ways to save & shop.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet
  • Notepad
  • Pencil
  1. Step 1

Write down the name of each person you will be getting a gift for. If you are on a tight budget, give gifts to less people this year. Stick with family, close friends, and anyone at work that you "really owe".

  2. Step 2

Next to their name, write down their hobbies or affordable items that you think that they will enjoy. Also write a budget amount for each person.

  3. Step 3

Stop to think if there are any sentimental gifts that you can get that person. Do you have a picture that you could blow up and frame of their dog? Can you give this person cute little coupons for favors like: cutting the grass, fixing a meal, or wearing a "cute little outfit"? Will a magazine subscription or a book on a particular topic be a nice gift? Sentimental gifts are usually less expensive.

  4. Step 4

For those you could not find a sentimental gift for, buy the Sunday paper and view the sales sheets for different stores near you. As you see items that "fit" the person, write down the item and store next to their name.

  5. Step 5

Buy the items from each store online or set one day to go pick up each item. Weekday afternoons are FABULOUS because stores are less crowded.

  6. Step 6

Still have a few people left? Check Ebay.com and Craigslist.com for great deals.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't forget to be creative
  • It really is the thought that counts
  • Stick to your budget!!! Gifts can be less, but should never be more than your budget.
