Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Large Bowl
  • Casserole Dish
  • 16 oz of hashbrowns
  • 8 oz of sour cream
  • 16 oz of sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cambells cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 - 1c of onions
  • 1 stick of butter
  • Corn flakes or lays potatoe chips
  1. Step 1

    *Preheat oven to 350.
    *Mix the cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, butter, and diced onions together in the large bowl. Add onions according to your taste(some people hate onions). Mix well.

  2. Step 2

    *Crush the corn flakes or lays potatoes chips (which ever you choose), into fine crumbs, and add to the other ingredients.
    *Add hash browns
    * Make sure to mix the corn flakes and hash browns well so that they will be fully absorbed into the other ingredients. You don't want any dry spots in your casserole.

  3. Step 3

    *Place contents evenly into the casserole dish. You may ad more corn flakes/ chips on the top if you like, but it is not necessary. Cook for 45 min, or until golden brown at the top!
    * Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes
    * Serves 6-8 people
    * ENJOY!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use margarine instead of butter, but if you use a stick butter make sure that you slice the butter before adding it to the mixture, it will mix better.
  • You'll have to add enough corn flakes/chips to give it a thick consistency, but it should still be creamy.
  • Once you add the hash browns it becomes difficult to stir. Its best to add the hash browns a little at a time, stir those in well, then add more.
  • EXTREMELY FATENING DISH!!! DO NOT EAT ON A REGULAR BASIS!
