Prepare a "cheese ball" with a holiday twist. Tastes great and is decorative.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 16 oz of cream cheese
  • 1 can of deviled ham
  • chives
  • 16 oz of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz of chopped pecans
  • cayenne (red) pepper ground
  • dry mustard 1/2 teaspoon
  • wax paper or aluminum foil paper
  1. Step 1

In a large mixing bowl fold shredded cheddar cheese into softened cream cheese.

  2. Step 2

add cayenne pepper 1/2 - 1 teaspoon and dry mustard and 2 teaspoons of prepared mustard. If you would like to add even more spice you can use spicy mustard from your local grocery store!

  3. Step 3

stir in deviled ham; the mixture will have variations in shading at this point, the colors should be blending together looking very nice.

  4. Step 4

On wax paper sprinkle chives and chopped pecans.

  5. Step 5

Shape cheese mixture into a christmas tree and roll in chive/pecan mixture. Using your hands to mold the christmas tree shape is the easiest way, if you're having a hard time getting the shape right try using something with a straight edge to help guide you.

  6. Step 6

Top "tree" with a star made from cheddar cheese and serve with crackers and preztel twists.
