Find a wallpaper site. Many websites offer free wallpaper backgrounds to spruce up your computer desktop. Sites such as Wallpaper.com, 1stWebDesigner.com and AllFreeBackgrounds.com offer hundreds of interesting wallpapers from which to choose. If you don’t like the offerings on these sites, a quick Google search for “free desktop wallpaper” will produce dozens of other free wallpaper sites to explore.

Decide on the wallpaper that you want to display on your desktop. This could require some looking around to find just the right photo or image that fits your personal taste and temperament.

Set the wallpaper. Right-click on the image and select "Set as Wallpaper" or "Set as Desktop Background" from the context menu, depending on which version of Windows is installed on your PC.

Minimize or close your active browser window to enjoy your new desktop wallpaper. You can change the wallpaper as often as you like by repeating this procedure.

Change back and forth between your favorite wallpapers by changing the settings in the “Display” or “Display Preferences” section of the Windows Control Panel.
Never download any image, file or application from the Internet to your computer unless you trust the website from which you are downloading the content.
