Some webmasters are finding they have been wrongly accused of fraud from their Google Adsense account. Google Adsense offers such a valuable way to earn money and earn passive income, getting kicked off is certainly discouraging. Google Adsense may kick webmasters off his or her account if they find there has been clicking on ads when there is no intent to purchase anything. It causes the advertiser to have to pay and not get anything in return. Here’s a few ideas to help prevent getting kicked off.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Utilize an access log to monitor suspicious activity. It is often available from your website host. Offer this report to Google and let them see you are trying hard to prevent fraudulent clicks on your website advertising.

  2. Step 2

Find or purchase click monitoring software. A lot of times, you can find it for free. Again, let Google have a look at this and any reports from it. It will continue to impress upon Google’s staff that you are a careful webmaster.

  3. Step 3

Look at your server’s logs and watch for anything out of the ordinary.

  4. Step 4

Be careful where you place your Adsense ads. If you use pop up and pop under screens, keep your Adsense ads away from those. Also, do not place ads on sites such as gambling, pornography, and any other illegal or questionable practice.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep in touch with Google if or when they tell you that you've committed click fraud. You may be able to show them otherwise, if you stay focused on correcting the problem.

on 12/16/2008 Excellent advice. It would be terrible to be kicked off of Google AdSense. I didn't realize it was so easy to be wrongly accused of click fraud.
