Adding Google Adsense to your website is a wonderful and simple way to increase the money you can earn. It’s a form of website advertising that is more acceptable and successful than banner ads. Google Adsense text ads appear less intrusive than banner ads, taking up only a small amount of space. Many webmasters have found growing success using Google Adsense, creating enough passive income to pay their bills each month. The successful webmaster thinks differently than the unsuccessful webmaster, and freely utilizes tips learned from others. Learn what consistently works, use it to increase your own paycheck, and grow that passive income!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Focus on the large rectangle form of Google Adsense ad. The large rectangle is 336 x 280. It’s a great form of website advertising because it looks a lot like common internet links, and so people are more likely to click them. Hear the money clinking in your bank account!

  2. Step 2

Match the look and feel of your Google Adsense ads with the look and feel of your website pages. Give Adsense the same color background and the same color text as your web pages. You want to create the illusion that Adsense is part of your web page. One key to making money with website advertising is to make ads blend into the pages.

  3. Step 3

Position your Google Adsense ads carefully. Past webmasters’ experience has shown that your ad revenue increases when your Adsense ads are at the top or in the middle of your website pages. The bottom of the page is a bad place to put ads, because not everyone will read all the way down the page.

  4. Step 4

Use a program called SSI (Server Side Included) to automate the code insertion of Adsense to your web pages. You may need to find out if your web server will allow SSI by contacting your web host. Open up Notebook or another text based file, and copy and paste your code there. Save it, and store it in the root directory of the web host server. For other web pages, just use SSI to place code into other website pages.
