Step 1
Log on to eBay and go to store home page. (Click the red door.)
-
Step 2
At the bottom of the page, click SELLER MANAGE STORE.
-
Step 3
On the left column, near the bottom, you will see RELATED LINKS>VACATION SETTINGS.
-
Step 4
You have several options. You can completely hide all of your listings so that nothing can be seen or bought. Or, you can allow your listings to remain visible and add a message to each store page explaining how long you will be gone, and when you will return to start shipping items.
-
Step 5
You will also want to temporarily change your automatic email notifications to inform the buyer that you are on vacation or away. The two most important notifications are the winning buyer email and payment received email. Include information about your absence, when you will return, and when items will be shipped.
-
Step 6
Communication what is most important. Most customers won't mind waiting a little longer for their order, as long as they receive communication from the seller and understand the delay.
