Things You'll Need:
- mini claw clips or hair pins
- 2 metal free ponytail holders or 2 scrunchies
- wide-tooth comb or brush you normally use
-
Step 1
Detangle your hair. Part your hair in two sections. Pull one to the side in a ponytail so it is out of the way.
-
Step 2
Take the other side and comb it up like you are going to do an off center ponytail. Put in your scrunchie or ponytail holder. Take a section of hair from the ponytail and start to twist it around itself over the ponytail. Claw clip or hair pin in place as you twist. Do some more twisting and don't worry about being neat, remember, it is a messy bun.
-
Step 3
Keep claw clipping or hair pinning those messy twist to your scalp. When you are almost to the end clip it so that the ends are piecy around your ponytail.
-
Step 4
Take another section of your ponytail and repeat steps 2 and 3. Again, letting end pieces fall free.
-
Step 5
Now, pull the other side up and make an off-part ponytail. Repeat the same steps. You may have to practice the placing of your ponytails and the twisting. The idea is to have slightly messy pieces and coils all around the ponytails so you can't see the ponytail holders. I'm sure you will get at least one compliment like I did when you wear this. Enjoy!

on 12/9/2008 Hi MidniteWriter-I know. The battery to my digital camera is dead and of course I can't find the charger. I'm going to really look for it so I can post some pics. I'd like to get a whole bunch of hair up do style articles and have actual style photos. Thanks for the great review!

on 12/9/2008 This sounds neat, wish there were photos, I have really thick unruly hair but I think this would work. It would end up "Messy" anyway because it falls. Thanks for the idea!
