Things You'll Need:
- Great Clothes
-
Step 1
Style starts with knowing yourself. What styles and colors look best on you. The outfit or item that people always compliment you on. The color others like to see you in the most. The two colors you feel most comfortable in. Before you even think about shopping, make sure you've done a thorough inventory of what's already in your closet. Make a list and write down what you've got and what you still need.
-
Step 2
Experts say you should aim for spending no more than 10 percent of your take - home pay on new clothes each year, and even that's on the high end. Sell items you no longer want to a consignment shop or on Ebay. Make it a habit and write down what your spending after each shopping trip, this will help you not over spend.
