Hanukkah is the celebration of lights so why not make your own Menorah? Listed below is a creative way to make a menorah that can also be used all year round with different colored votive candles - even if you do not celebrate Hanukkah. It will add elegance to your dining table and make lighting the candles easier than the traditional slim candles.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Circular saw
  • Wooden deck post
  • Glue (for wood)
  • Primer
  • Caster Cups
  • Spray paint - color of your choice but white is best
  • Round glass votive candleholders - one of which should be larger than the others
  • Votive candles
  1. Step 1

Take the wooden deck post and saw the final end to make it smooth. This piece will lay flat on your table and is the base of the menorah.

  2. Step 2

Measure nine evenly spaced points on the wooden post and mark each one.

  3. Step 3

Take your wood glue and caster cups, and glue the cups to the wooden post. Make sure you leave the center mark free.

  4. Step 4

    Apply the primer.

  5. Step 5

Spray paint the wood and caster cups. Let it paint dry thoroughly.

  6. Step 6

Place the largest glass candleholder in the middle.

  7. Step 7

Place the remaining votive glass candleholders on the remaining caster cups.

  8. Step 8

Simply light the candles during Hanukah and enjoy!
