Step 1
The first thing you need to do is decide how many people you want to invite to your cookie exchange! Then either make phone calls, send out an email or an e-vite or get some cute Christmas invitations and send them out!
-
Step 2
On your invites briefly explain that it's a cookie exchange party detailing that they need to bring cookies. When asking them to R.S.V.P. make sure they you know what kind of cookie they will be bringing. If several people offer to make the same kind of cookie do it on a first RSVP basis. Whoever RSVP'd for it first gets to make that cookie.
-
Step 3
Once you know how many people are attending (more than 6 is best!) and what kind of cookies they are bringing let everyone know how many cookies they need to make.
-
Step 4
You need one dozen of EACH kind of cookie for each guest that is participating PLUS one extra dozen. For example: if you have 8 people coming, each guest needs to bring 9 dozen of their cookies.
-
Step 5
Tell each guest to package each dozen cookies separately.
-
Step 6
When the guests arrive the cookies are divided and distributed for each guest to take home. The extra dozen of each cookie is put out for the guests to sample and enjoy!

on 12/11/2009 We held a "no fuss" swap and invited all the ladies at our church (an office party would be easy too). I love baking one kind of cookie and taking home a mix! We didn't even tell anyone what to bring.
