How to Make Ham & Cheddar Casserole

Mmmm.. Ham & Cheddar, throw in your favorite vegetable and bake. Make a salad, and set the table. Sit back and relax and enjoy this delicious & filling casserole!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb Medium or large pasta shells
  • 16 oz Velveeta cheese - or - 1 jar Ragu Double Cheese Sauce
  • 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 box frozen brocoli florets (or your favorite veggie!)
  • 8oz - 10oz ham
  1. Step 1

    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9" x 13" baking dish with Pam.

  2. Step 2

    Cook Pasta til just about done. Drain, rinse and return to pot.

  3. Step 3

    While pasta is cooking dice or cube your ham into bite sized pieces and cook your broccoli or vegetables half way through.

  4. Step 4

    If you are using Velveeta cheese (store brand is fine) melt cheese in the microwave by cooking at 30 second intervals and stirring until all melted. If you are using jarred sauce, it does not need to be pre-heated.

  5. Step 5

    Add the ham, vegetables and shredded cheddar to the pasta pot and stir until mixed. Add melted cheese or jarred sauce and stir until all ingredients coated with cheese sauce.

  6. Step 6

    Pour into a your baking dish and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 - 40 minutes.

Tips & Warnings
  • When done let it sit 10 - 15 minutes to "set".
  • I sprinkle bread crumbs on top!
  • I have used reduced fat cheeses with no difference in taste or texture!
  • Add more or less cheese depending on your personal preference.
  • Add more or less ham & veggies depending on your personal preference.
