Keep Older Kids Believing in Santa
Keep Older Kids Believing in Santa

As kids get older they start to not believe in Santa. And they also question everything about Santa . And I think that it is so important to keep the Christmas spirit alive. And that is through Santa. So with that being said. I wanted to share some tips on helping to get your older children back believing in Santa Claus.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Answer the questions and be as creative as possible with your children when they start to ask questions about Santa Claus. I always tell my son that some things we see with our eyes and other things we see with our hearts.

  2. Step 2

But he still asks more questions. And I tell my son that if Santa was not real why does he think there are so many movies about Santa Claus? I also tell him don't we believe in GOD and we never seen him? And then we start to talk about FAITH and stuff like that.

  3. Step 3

Have your child also write a letter to Santa Claus. There are several ways to send a letter to Santa.

  4. Step 4

One other thing that can be done beside sending Santa a letter is. Emailing Santa Claus my son loved doing this. He was so excited with the quick reply as well! And make sure the volume is up on the computer.

  5. Step 5

These couple of steps MIGHT still get the older kids believing in Santa Claus. I know that I do! MERRY CHRISTMAS

on 4/21/2009 This is great. Every year, my daughter writes a note to Santa and leaves it with the milk and cookies. I always write a "thank you" note to her from "Santa". She shows everyone. It's a great tradition and as long as she gets a reply to her notes, I think she will believe for a while. 5*

on 3/25/2009 Ok I will be the party pooper. My kids are taught not to believe in Santa from the start. It's my hard work, effort and money that goes into the Holiday season. Santa is used as a Christmas myth and the kids enjoy seeing Santa at the mall and spreading Santa's cheer.

on 1/10/2009 Sadly, I think this was the last year for my 11 yr old girl. She's in middle school and is on the fence. We pushed the Santa thing cuz of my 6 yr old, but I feel she knows and it won't be the same. Next year, we will still do all the Santa rituals, leave cookies, reindeer feed, because my little guy still believes and its fun all the same--five *****'s
