1
Purchase unfinished cubbies from an arts and crafts store. They typically come in single, double or triple cube sizes (AC Moore and Michaels Arts and Crafts carry these cubbies and each store typically has 40% off coupons on a weekly basis). Configure a wall system that works within the space of your playroom.

Decide what type of finish to use on the cubbies. If you are going for a natural look, no work will need to be done to the cubbies. Two other options are paint or stain. In either case, lightly sand the cubbies and apply your finish of choice. Two coats usually does the job. Let the cubbies dry completely.

Configure your wall system. Keep in mind the vertical reach of your child so that he/she can access each cubby.

Fill each cubby with baskets. Whether you create a simple 6 cube unit or build an entire wall of cubbies, this system will look great and keep everything in its place. Be creative and have fun!
