Host a Sitcom Theme Party

Theme parties are always popular and hosting a sitcom theme party will make you the host of the year. Theme costume parties are becoming more and more popular each year. Have a sitcom theme party by following these easy steps.

From Quick Guide: Theme Party Basics
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Print your invitations. Download photos of your favorite sitcom characters to use on the front of the sitcom theme party invitations. You can make them using a template on your computer. Be sure that you include the time and place of the party, as well telling them that they should dress as a sitcom character. If you expect your guests to bring food or drinks, you should list that in the invitation as well.

  2. Step 2

Decide on a costume for your sitcom theme party. Think back to all of your favorite sitcom characters and figure out which ones of them had distinct look. Good examples are Punky Brewster, I Love Lucy, Kramer from Seinfeld, any character from South Park, Archie Bunker, Gilligan and Zach Morris from Saved by the Bell. Including props makes your costume even better.

  3. Step 3

Make a list of ideas for costumes in case your guests begin to call for suggestions. You can help them decide on an easy and fun costume by referring to your list.

  4. Step 4

Have a costume contest at your party. The prize should be a DVD of a popular sitcom. Take plenty of photos so that your friends can remember your sitcom theme party as the party of the year!
