drag racing 101

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Drag Racing 101 we will go over some brief and genuine information about drag racing
but mainly what you should expect when going to a drag race. There are several different
divisions in drag racing just like baseball minors and majors triple A and NMCA. When you
go to a NHRA events there are plenty of cars racings down the strip but the nitro cars
which are the pro's of the sport only race about 5 times at one of these events. Drag racing
is one of the most exciting things an automotive enthuisiasts can experience with the gas fumes
lingering in the air and the jet fire flying out of the engine from the cars and as they
pass the finish line going 300 mph to the incredible displays and products offered in the midways
located directly on the side of the track.

  2. Step 2

I had the oppurtunity to stand in the pitts of the IHRA race cars right before they
burned out of their starting postitions at the Rockingham North Carlolina drag strip.
Let me tell you it was incredible the lights when from red to yellow to green as I braced myself
knowing the power being pumped out of the cars I could'nt help myself to fly back a couple
of feet as they took off from zero to 250 in seconds. Please excuse my excitement
but these events are just simply powerful and I highly reccomend attended a NHRA event or
if these events are to far then check out www.nhra.com and www.nmca.com those websites
should be extra help to finding a close event where you can personally experience without having
to travel to far to see what the rush is all about.

  3. Step 3

Now on to what you should expect when arrived. A drag race normally runs about 30 dollars
to get into the official event site you want to have atleast 50 dollars to spend because trust me
you will see something you want to take home these events have millions of dollars that
are invested into each one of the NHRA events and for that matter at any drag race event there
are always vendors and exibitors that have awesome stuff for you to purchase. Bring atleast 15
for food and beverage and a cap or hat to help keep you cool.
I hope this information can be benificial to everyone and if you have any other
questions you might have or specific questions such as where to go to find these events
just shoot me a email through my website www.sheengenie.com we offer a amazing metal polish.
