Step 1
Switch on your computer.

Now connect the USB data cable to your camera and your computer. Both the ends of the data cable are designed so that they can fit into only one of the components so you won't have a problem connecting them.

Now turn on your digital camera. If you look at its screen you will see "Data Transfer" or something similar (depending upon the make of your camera) written. At the same time you will notice "New Hardware Found" on the right lower corner of your computer if you are running Microsoft Windows.

If you have Windows XP or higher installed You will see an "OPEN WITH" pop up window. Click "Select Folder" among all the options. Now Browse to the folder with the images or video and open it by double-clicking it.

Select all the Photos / Videos you want to copy. You can select all the photos by clicking once and holding the left mouse button down and dragging it over all the photos you want to select. Alternatively if you just want to select some of the photos, just click on the photos you want while holding the Ctrl key on your keyboard.

Step 6
Now right-click on any one of the selected photo and select Copy from the drop down menu. Alternatively you can select Cut if you want to free up space on your camera and wish to remove the pictures from it.

Step 7
Browse to the folder on your computer where you want to save these photos, right-click in the window and choose "Paste".

Step 8
The computer will indicate that it is copying the photos and that box will disappear when it is done copying them.
