This is the creamist soap you will ever use with the added benefits of goat's milk.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blender
  • Lard 16 oz
  • Rainwater 5 oz
  • Sodium hydroxide 2.11 oz
  • Plain yogurt 1/4 cup, I used goat milk.
  • 1.5 teaspoon scent
  • Prepared mold(s)
  1. Step 1

Weigh all ingredients in separate pyrex containers or glass bowls.

  2. Step 2

Add sodium hydroxide to water, stir to dissolve and add to blender. Follow all precautions. Soften lard in microwave. It does not have to melt completely. Add to blender. Exact temperatures are not important. Both bowls should be warm to touch but not hot. Close lid tightly on blender. Run blender on medium till soap traces, or when the mixture is the consistency of pudding. Scrape down sides every minute. Mine took about four minutes to trace. Add yogurt (room temperature) and scent. Mix well.

  3. Step 3

Pour into mold(s). Soap should be hard in 24 hours and ready to pop out of molds or cut into bars. You should have five 4-ounce bars. Let cure for two to three weeks. Give as gifts or treat yourself!
