Save Money While Shopping for Clothes

Do you have one of those friends who make very little but always manage to keep up with the latest trends leaving you wondering how they could afford that dress, or especially those shoes you always had your eyes on without breaking her bank account or using a credit card? Everyone is looking for ways these days to save money without looking like it. I will show you how your dear friend gets away with it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

This first step is crucial. Ditch designer stores. Yes, I know your favorite designers have their one stop shops where you can buy everything designer, so that "loyal" followers like you can "save" time and buy away with ease...but wait, most times they are more expensive. A Gucci handbag could cost you about 400 bucks in a Gucci store but that same handbag will only cost you 90 bucks or less at Ross, the reason is when high end boutiques have extra clothes that haven't been sold or end up getting returned, they sell them really cheap to Ross, T.J. Max and others. I have made so many bargains at Ross, found many name brand outfits with great quality for way cheaper than they were when I first saw them at the mall. I got a beautiful pair of Nine West black pumps for 25 bucks, got me some nice black boots and snow/Eskimo boots all under 40 bucks another day. Ross may not be always well put together, but with your determination and "hard work" you are sure to make a really really good buy.

  2. Step 2

Next. Thrifty and Trendy can go together. Yes you read me right, they may not be best friends but they can make acquaintance. Department stores sometimes give their unsold clothes to thrift stores like Salvation Army, Goodwill and others, you just have to patiently look for clothes you care to wear. If you need pants to go with that fabulous top you just got at the mall but don't want to spend too much on just pants, then the thrift stores are calling you. My husband and I have bought a lot of really nice work clothes from goodwill, I go to thrift stores sometimes to window shop just in case I find a diamond in the rough, which I have several times.

  3. Step 3

The Third step is to look online. Aah the Internet! The Internet is your personal assistant, put him/her to work. It will give you the latest best deals in town with discounts or even rebates on everything you buy, compare prices and even make money while shopping. What more do you want? I will have websites listed in the resource section.
