Things You'll Need:
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbls shortening
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking power
- 1 Tbls sugar
- optional - splash of apple cider vinegar or vanilla or almond extract

Step 1
Beat eggs thoroughly.

Mix eggs with milk.

Combine flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and shortening. Add dry mixture with milk and egg mixture.

Add dry mixture with milk and egg mixture. For a buttermilk flavor add a splash of apple cider vinegar.

Step 5
Pour into greased preheated waffle maker or on hot skillet. Skillet is ready when water dances off when lightly spritzed.

Step 6
Pancake is ready to flip when most of the bubbles have popped.
Serve with warm maple syrup.
Berries with Cool Whip make a wonderful Belgium waffle!
A splash of vanilla or almond extract add a nice change from the ordinary buttermilk flavor.
Peaches and Cool Whip is also another crowd pleaser.
