I suffer from acne, no product seems to make my zits go away for good. The best solution: makeup.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • acne prone skin cleanser.
  • skin toner
  • oil free moisturizer
  • mineral foundation
  • oil free stick concealer
  1. Step 1

wash your face with a cleanser containing salicylic acid, a clean face is the best canvas for makeup.

  2. Step 2

use a toner to control excess oil.

  3. Step 3

use a lotion containing Benzoyl Peroxide, this will keep your skin free of acne causing bacteria.

  4. Step 4

use oil free light moisturizer containing SPF 15 to 30, that won't clog your pores.

  5. Step 5

use a stick concealer that is a little lighter than your natural skin tone. Apply on red spots, under eye circles and acne pimples. Apply on the sides of your nose, which is usually an area that has redness. Do not apply a thick layer and spread the concealer evenly.

  6. Step 6

apply mineral powder foundation that matches your skin tone, all over your face. Use a medium to small brush, tap more foundation onto areas that need more coverage. Mineral foundation lasts throughout the day and controls oil. Your face won't be shiny and will look very natural.

Tips & Warnings
  • do not buy green or yellow concealers, they do not work
  • buy quality mineral powder foundation, some drugstore brands do not offer the same coverage
  • clean your makeup brushes once a week, they can be a source of bacteria and cause pimples
