Learn how to have a nice deep fried turkey with great taste.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Deep frying pot
  • 16-20 lb Turkey
  • Peanut Oil
  • Propan Gas
  1. Step 1

You want to wash and clean your turkey a day before you fry it. Once you have clean it, then you season it and inject it. (You can season with season all, cayenne, garlic salt, lemon pepper, salt, and pepper.) Inject the bird with an inject able marinade fluid so that the inside of the turkey will be seasoned.

  2. Step 2

After you have season it put it in the refrigerator and let it set overnight so the seasons can marinate. Then when you are going to fry the turkey you have to hook up the propane gas tank to the propane burner on your fryer. Ensure the shut-off valve is closed completely before attaching and keep the propane tank at least 2 feet away from the fryer at all times.

  3. Step 3

Then you want to pour the peanut oil into the pot to the marked level for your turkey. Turn on the propane gas by opening the valve and carefully lighting the burner. Heat the oil to 350-degrees. It will typically take about 1 hour for the oil to get to temperature.

  4. Step 4

Now you want to take the turkey out of the refrigerator and mount the turkey on the rack. Once the oil has reach its temperature you want to get someone to hold the pot with the turkey while you take the top off of the oil to place the turkey in the oil. Slowly lower the turkey in the pot stand at least a foot back so the oil splatter would not get to you.

  5. Step 5

After the turkey is in the oil let it cook at a temperature of 300-degrees. Then let the turkey cook for 1 hour and 45 minutes till it is crisp all over.
