How to Get a Perfect Lipstick Application

Lipstick has been around for thousands of years. It is one of the best ways to give your face an instant make over. A lot of women do not know the proper way of applying lipstick. If you are not sure how to properly apply lipstick, don't worry I got you covered.

Things You'll Need:

• lipstick
• moisturizer
• foundation
• face powder
• lip pencil
• lip brush

1. If you are going to play up your eyes keep your lip shade light so that it does not stand out. Choose the best lip color for your skin tone. Bright lip colors warm up fair skin tones. Dark lip colors look best on dark skin tones.

2. To ensure the lips are smooth and soft, make sure the lips are moisturized. Smooth moisturizer over the lips. If you don't have moisturizer you can use chapstick. Do not use too much chapstick.

3. The lips will need to be primed to keep the lipstick application long lasting. Use a makeup sponge to smooth foundation over the lips. Allow the foundation to dry before moving on. To finish off priming your lips ,dust face powder over the lips.

4. Carefully line your lips with a lip pencil. When choosing a lip pencil choose a color that matches the lipstick. fill in the lips with the lipstick. To get a better application use a lip brush to fill the lips in with color. After the color is applied blot the lips with tissue. Blotting the lips will give the lips a matte finish.

Tips & Warnings

• Chilling the lip pencil in the fridge, makes the pencil glide over the lips better.
• If the lips are full avoid using glossy lipstick. Lipstick with a high gloss makes lips appear fuller.
