Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Jog for a few minutes.

  2. Step 2

Jump rope as well, if desired.

  3. Step 3

Stretch the major muscle groups involved in tennis. These include the hamstrings and quadriceps (front and back of thighs), and the calves. You can also do upper-body stretches. (See Related eHows.)

  4. Step 4

Get onto the court for a pre-hitting routine. Start up close, with players on both sides taking light, or "baby," shots from the net.

  5. Step 5

Work your way back to mid-court, and eventually back to the baseline.

  6. Step 6

Get back to the net for a few volleys and overheads.

  7. Step 7

    Do warm-up serves last.
