Draw a Zombie

Zombies come out of their graves at night to feast on the brains and flesh of living humans! They are macabre undead beasts who stagger towards their victim. They are incompetent and clumsy, yet they are relentless in their approach of a victim. If you have ever wanted to draw your own zombie army, this article is perfect for you. Instructions

  1. Drawing a Zombie

    • 1

Begin by drawing the basic frame. Start with an oval for the head a rectangle for the chest and a triangle shape for the pelvis. Add arms and legs with simple lines. Add circles to the shoulder and elbow joints.

    • 2

Draw a cross shape on the face to mark out where the eyes nose and mouth will go. Thicken the limbs by drawing parallel lines around the arm and leg guidelines. Add an exposed spine with a rectangle divided into smaller squares. Inside the face, add eyes with small ovals. Add the nose with an upside down "V" shape and the mouth with horizontal lines.

    • 3

Add a tuft of hair on top of the head. Begin thickening the muscles by drawing footballs shaped ovals on the frame for the shoulders, biceps and triceps. Add an eyeball hanging out of the head with a droopy circle. Add eye brows with lines above the eyes. Draw a belt on the pants with a rectangular band with long rectangle shapes inside the belt for loops.

    • 4

Add some gory details with lines hanging down off of pieces of flesh. Add warts on the shoulders and forearms with small circles. Draw in the pectorals with curved lines on the chest.

    • 5

Shade the entire drawing. Darken in under the arms, the chest cavity, under the chin, and inside the pants. Add shading to the warts and open wounds on the head and chest. Now you have your own grotesque zombie to use as a template for your very own zombie army.
