Setting up a "Secret Santa" is a nice way to raise peoples spirits in the office or any place of work. Here's how to set up the process up so you and everyone else get the most fun out of it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Collect all the names of all the office workers and place them into a hat or box and mix them up. Take the box around the office and have each person choose one name from the box. They must not tell anyone which name was picked. That person now becomes a "Secret Sanata" and has to buy a gift for the person whose name was pulled out of the box.

  2. Step 2

The Secret Santa buys a gift that they hope the recipient will appreciate. When the Secret Santa wraps the gift, They should label it with the recipient's name but not indicate who the present is from. It's the secrecy that makes this fun.

  3. Step 3

Set up a time for all the gifts to be opened. Perhaps schedule an office lunch with brought in food for the event. At the event, people open their gifts and then have to guess who sent them. If they can't guess, their Secret Santa eventually confesses.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ask that gift buyers dont spend too much money on buying gifts. This is supposed to be fun for all so ask that they dont spend more than $10.00 on any gift.
  • Most of the fun involves finding imaginative gifts. Shop the local dollar stores, the Salvation Army and Goodwill for really creative ideas.
  • Advise gift buyers not to get gifts of a sexual or suggestive nature. Recipients may be very offended. Keep the process fun for all.
