Colon Cleanse

It’s a New Year and you want to start things off with a clean colon. While an annual colon cleanse is a common practice for individuals who understand the importance of optimal health, it’s not something to be taken lightly if you have never had one before. If you’re on the fence as to whether or not you need a colon cleanse, here are a few tell tale signs that suggest you would benefit from the practice.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Notice symptoms of infrequent bowel movements and constipation. It's a no-brainer that if you are not letting out the food that you are putting in, it’s likely that you would benefit from a colon cleanse.

  2. Step 2

Determine if you’re suffering from excessive gas. Even though gas is a normal part of everyone’s daily living experience, excessive foul smelling gas can indicate that your intestines could use a cleaning out.

  3. Step 3

Look for signs of acne outbreak and an increase in unhealthy skin conditions. The colon is the place where the toxic waste passes through right before elimination. If the food is not eliminated regularly, the wastes, which are very toxic at this point, sit and ferment in the colon. If allowed to sit in a colon too long, the body begins to absorb the toxins. The absorbed toxins in the body can manifests itself by displaying skin conditions such as acne and other unwanted skin problems.

  4. Step 4

Notice signs of extreme tiredness. Walking around with excessive amounts of toxins in your system can contribute to your lack of energy and general sluggish feeling. If you feel like your get up and go, got up and went, maybe its time to clean your colon.

  5. Step 5

Check for excessive abdominal bloat and feeling of heaviness. Abdominal bloat and heaviness can occur when the body has been impacted with too much built up fecal matter. Unfortunately, a normal bowel movement isn't enough to remove all of the toxins from the colon. A colon cleanse is needed to remove the built up layers of fecal mater that took years to accumulate.

Tips & Warnings
  • While a colon cleanse is not a cure-all for every condition that ails you, it’s a nice start on the road back to optimal health.
