Are you tiered of having to buy boxes of Mac and Cheese. Don't you wish you could do it yourself. Well, here is a recipe that will allow you to just that, and with very little effort. So, follow the easy step and you'll have yourself one cheesy side dish, snack, or lunch. You'll love it and so will the kids.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 cups of water
  • 1 1/3 cup macaroni
  • 4 ounces of Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup of whole milk
  1. Step 1

Boil the water on the stove in a medium size pan. After the water comes to a boil add the macaroni and cook it for 10 to 15 minutes or until noodles are the right consistency. Make sure to stir it occasionally or the noodles will stick to the bottom of the pan.

  2. Step 2

While the macaroni is cooking mix the remaining ingredients in a small pan. Heat the ingredients on low heat. Stir as the cheese melts and once it's smooth turn off the heat.

  3. Step 3

When the macaroni is ready to be strained then (be careful the water is very hot!) pour it out into a strainer in the sink and then once the water has been drained put the noodles back into the original pan.

  4. Step 4

Pour the cheese sauce in to the pan with the noodles and stir until the macaroni is covered with the sauce. Serve it while it's still streaming. Good Luck!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to watch out for the water boiling over once you've add the noodles. Never leave the stove unattended.
