It's your Girl!

Tired of wearing your Bob cut flat? Want to add just a little or maybe a lot of excitement to your cut? Here are some simple instructions on how to give your Bob a little'juice' for the upcoming holidays and beyond.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Setting Lotion
  • 6 Plastic Rollers
  • Paper Neckstrip
  • Hooded Dryer
  • Paddle brush
  • Wide toothed & tail comb
  • finishing spray
  1. Step 1

After shampooing and conditioning the hair, apply setting lotion and comb thru the hair. Directly on the top of the head, section out some hair and wrap around a roller and clip to secure it in place. Next, place one roller directly behind the first one, and two rollers directly in front of the first roller. Then roll a horizontal section or hair on each side of the first four rollers. Roll all of the hair downward or 'under'.

  2. Step 2

Wrap the remaining hair around the head in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction. Stretch the paper neckstrip and tie around the head. Secure the neckstrip in place with clips. Place the client under a warm dryer. Let the hair dry completely.

  3. Step 3

Once the hair is dry, remove the strip and rollers from the hair. Depending on the type of hair you're working with, you may want to apply a small amount of moisturizing cream. Brush the hair out with a paddle brush. Still using the paddle brush, wrap all the hair back around the head in the same direction. Secure the wrapped hair with clips, cover the hair with a plastic cap or saran wrap and place the client back under the dryer for another 10 minutes.

  4. Step 4

Remove the clips from the hair. Using a wide toothed comb, part and comb the hair out. Using the 'tail' of the tail comb, define the layers. Mist the hair with a light holding spray .... viola!

Tips & Warnings
  • Always work with clean hair
  • Allow the hair to dry completely
  • Try to wrap the hair as smooth as possible when wet
  • Do not use too much moisturizer cream or finishing product, this will cause the style to 'flop'.
