1
Reverse your roles. Recall the days when you were a kid and your parents tended to your every need. Now it's your turn. Some parents may balk at being tended to and remain stubborn that they can do everything on their own. Let them try it unless it endangers them. When they've had enough, ask if you can help them. If they're doing fine, let them be.

2
Show respect. Make sure to treat your parents with the same and even more courtesy you would any other roommate. This means no loud parties, drugs, massive drinking or other stuff in the house that would be offensive to anyone.

3
Remain adult. So many folks lapse back into being a bratty child if they are even in the same room with their parents. Don't let it happen. Remind yourself you are a grown man or woman now and not the snotty kid. Keep your attitude and actions in check.

4
Set boundaries. Just because you are living with your parents doesn't mean you don't deserve privacy and the chance to live your own life. You are not 15 anymore. Also set a limit on how far you'll go. Running to the store in the middle of the night just because mom wants the latest supermarket tabloid may be a stretch.

5
Practice patience, tolerance and love. Watching your parents grow older can be very frustrating. Whatever you do for them, make sure it's done with love in your heart. It will make even the most tedious task less tedious if you know you are helping the people who helped you so many times in your life.

Tips & Warnings
Accept the situation for what it is and deal with it to the best of your ability. If the challenge becomes too much, there is nothing wrong with asking other family members or outside sources for help. Maybe you need a nurse if your parents' health is failing.
Don't forget to spend time laughing, talking or simply being in the same room with the two folks who probably love you the most in the world.
