How to Draw a Fish Skeleton
Fish skeletons are great primitive illustrations that work equally well on paper as they do on rocks, shredded wood or other primitive-looking objects. You can draw a fish skeleton with these few simple steps.

Draw the eye. Make a completely round or slightly slanted shape that will serve as the fish's eyeball.

Illustrate the skull. Make an oblong shape that points downward at the tip for the top of the skull. Make sure to include some jagged and flattened teeth so the fish has something to chew with. A long, bent rectangle, also with jagged and flattened teeth, works well for the lower jaw.

Add the backbone. A series of small squares or rectangles serve well as the fish spine.

Top it off with the tail. Make two slightly bent tail pieces with a gap in the middle at the end of the spine.

Sketch the ribs and fins. Use a few rectangles beneath the spine, starting right off the head, for fish ribs. Make a triangular shape at the top of the spine for a fin.

Do the details. A single dot inside the eye will work as a pupil. A single dot near the tip of the top jaw will make a fine nose hole.

Tips & Warnings
If you want your fish to be less menacing, make flattened jaws instead of teeth and throw on a few lines as eyelashes.
