Razor bumps, or razor burn, are both painful and unattractive. Razor burn is most common on the bikini area on women and on the neck on men. These bumps can be easy to get rid of if you know what to do. See also my article on how to prevent razor bumps/razor burn.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Apply neosporin or hydrocortisone cream to the area to help it heal faster and provide relief from the discomfort.

  2. Step 2

Exfoliate the area. You can use a cream or cloth to do this, but just make sure to be gentle. Exfoliate every time to prevent it from happening the next time that you shave/wax.

  3. Step 3

Keep the area free from germs. Before you shave and after you shave make sure the area stays clean to prevent infection of the hair follicles.

  4. Step 4

Don't irritate the area of razor bumps. Be careful not to squeeze or pick at the bumps and avoid wearring tight or irritating clothing.
