      Log on to Brain Pop (see Resources). To begin with, you will want to first see if this site is something that you will want to use. Try a free trial membership by clicking on "Free Trial" located at the lower right corner of the home page. Their free trial period is only for five days. When done signing up for a free trial, sign in.

      Click on "Science." There are many sub categories to choose from under this general category. Some of the choices that can be clicked on are; "Air Pollution," "Energy Sources," "Fossil Fuels" and more. When you click on one of them you are brought to another page which you can watch a movie about that topic, get experiments, take a quiz, do activities and click on related topics. When you're done with this topic click on the "Brain Pop" logo at the top left side of the page.

      Click on any of the other subjects. Choose from social studies, English, math, arts, music, health and technology. When you click on one of them, you will go to a second page with sub categories related to the subject that you selected. Again these subjects will have activities such as a movie, experiments, quizzes and links with related topics. Click on the "Brain Pop" logo again to return to the home page.

      Click on "Free Movies" to view all videos offered on this site. It spans all the videos in all subject areas. Watch a movie on hurricanes, Mars, penguins, hiccups, nano technology, architecture, geometry, poetry and so much more. The videos are designed with kids in mind and are easy to understand.

      Click on "State Standards" to search details of state requirements for a particular subject. This comes in handy for the home school teacher. Pick the state you're in or are interested in.
