Instructions

    • 1

Pour your base oil into your pot and put it on the stove on low heat.

    • 2

Crush the garlic with the flat side of a knife. Remove the skin. Put the garlic clove into the pot of oil.

    • 3

Draw the symbol of the pentagram, a powerful ancient symbol of protection, on each of the bay leaves using a fine tip felt pen. Place them into the pot.

    • 4

Add one tbsp. of castor oil and 1 tsp. of kosher salt to the mixture.

    • 5

Stir the oil mixture clockwise with a wooden spoon. Do not allow the oil to simmer or boil; just heat it for approximately 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    • 6

Take the mixture off of the heat and allow it to cool. Strain it through a strainer, or two layers of cheese cloth, into a container. It can be stored for up to 6 weeks in a cool, dark place.

    • 7

Hold your container of oil and say a prayer to your Higher Power, guardian angels or spirit guides to increase the strength of the oil and help it's powers to protect you. Or, you can simply make a positive affirmation to the universe, such as "by the powers of these gifts of nature, I will be protected from all forms of harm and danger."

    • 8

Use your oil to infuse it's powers of protection in your life. Add a few drops to the rinse cycle of your laundry so that your clothes are permeated with it. dd some to the rinse water of your pillowcases to protect against bad dreams.

    • 9

Anoint your windows, doors and valuables to protect against thieves by dipping your finger in the oil and drawing a shape of a pentagram. Anoint the walls of your home, your roof and sprinkle a few drops around your property to protect your house from the effects of natural disasters and negative energy.

    • 10

Anoint your car, particularly the locks, steering wheel, or place a few drops of oil into the bucket of water when washing it. Dribble a few drops on your tires for protection from blow outs and accidents.

    • 11

Dab some on yourself or your loved ones, or add a few drops to your bath water, to protect against psychic attacks, negative energy and accidents.

Tips & Warnings

  • Similar oils can be made and used in the same way for different intents, such as love, health, peace, prosperity, or success. Just be sure to choose herbs and oils with properties that are aligned with your intent.

  • Always pair magic with common sense. No protection oil in the world is powerful enough to help you if you step in the path of a speeding truck. Magic offers a spiritual energy boost, it does not make you invulnerable.
