How to build a miniature zen garden

The point of a Zen garden is to release all of your stress by raking the sand. When you don't have the time or space to create a large Zen garden, a miniature one can do the job. Using household items, you can make a miniature Zen garden for your office or home. Over time, the sharp corners of anger and frustration will become rounded with relaxation.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• 1 cardboard jewelry box
• 3 or 4 small stones
• Play sand
• 1 can of black spray paint
• 1 breather mask
• 1 plastic fork

1. Fill the necklace box about mid-level full of sand.

2. Use a can of spray paint to paint the small stones black. Let them sit for about an hour to dry.

3. After the hour is up, you can place the stones in the necklace box full of sand.

4. Using the plastic fork, you can now rake the sand in the Zen garden in any way you please.

Tips & Warnings

• The rocks don't have to be painted black; you can substitue with flint stones, white stones, or any kind of stones or rocks you please.
• When using spray paint, or any kind of paint, ensure you are in a well ventilated area. Paint fumes can be hazardous to your health. Use a breather mask when using the spray paint to help cut the fumes down even more.
