I have made this recipe many times. The rum was so loud. now I believe I have perfected it. I Call It;

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • shortbread cookies
  • peanuts
  • confectioners' sugar,
  • brown sugar
  • semisweet chocolate morsels
  • light corn syrup
  • bourbon, rum or champagne
  1. Step 1

    3 1/2 cp short bread cookies, or cookies of your choice.
    1 cp finely chopped peanuts.
    1 cp confectioners' sugar.
    1/2 cp brown sugar.
    1 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels.
    1/2 cup light corn syrup
    1/3 cup bourbon, rum or champagne

  2. Step 2

    Break cookies into crumbly pieces, feel free to use your hands.
    Put peanuts in a zip lock bag, let all the air out, lay a towel on top of bag. Beat the peanuts with a meat hammer. Just to break them up into little pieces.

  3. Step 3

    In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine crushed wafers, and 1 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
    1 cp peanuts, and 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, 1/2 cp brown sugar, 1/2 cp corn syrup:

    Add Bourbon or rum or champagne; stir until all ingredients are mixed well.

  5. Step 5

    Now it's time for the fun part
    Using your hands, shape mixture into 1-inch balls; place on waxed paper.

  6. Step 6

    Place remaining confectioners' sugar in a shallow bowl. Roll balls in confectioners' sugar; place on waxed paper in a container, adding more waxed paper between layers, or place in small paper or foil candy cups.

  7. Step 7

    Store in airtight container for about 3 days before serving. Store for up to 2 weeks.
    Makes 4 dozen.

Tips & Warnings
  • Feel free to substitute your ingredients to a lower calorie version.
  • I used all low cal ingredients, to make cheating a little more
  • It was "DELICIOUS"

on 12/3/2008 Liquor can be omitted. You can use fruit juice,soda, And or rum flavor. But other than that you can use any kind of alcohol you choose.
