Almost all of us has done it, left the laundry in the washer or dryer too long. You end up with smelly clothes. Very smelly. Sometimes it is almost impossible to get the smell out and then your other clothes start smelling also. Here are a few tips to help you out of this stink!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bleach
  1. Step 1

First things first. You have to get the smell out of your washer and dryer. The easiest and fastest way to do this is with bleach. Run a cycle in your washer with about a cup of bleach. For your dryer, soak an old rag or towel in bleach water for a few minutes and dry it in your dryer.

  2. Step 2

Now it is time to rewash your clothes. Wash anything that has a hint of mildew. Wash your clothes in the warmest water safe for your clothes. After it has agitated for at least 10 minutes, turn off the washer and let your clothes soak for about 30 minutes. Then continue to run the cycle. Next dry them in you clean smelling dryer. (if it's safe for your fabric)

  3. Step 3

Before putting your clothes away, spray febreze or some other odor releaser in your closet and drawers to get rid of any missed smells. Now you can put away your clothes!
