Remove Ink Stains From Your Clothes
Remove Ink Stains From Your Clothes

This is a very easy process to remove ink stains from your clothing. This may not work on all types of material but definitely works on cottons and most other basic materials. The ink stain does not have to be fresh to be removed.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hairspray
  • Stain Remover (Shout)
  • Toothbrush or small scrub brush
  1. Step 1

The first step is to generously spray the ink stained area with hairspray. Try not to use a hair gel or an aerosol can. I usually use an basic, inexpensive bottle of hairspray.

  2. Step 2

Let the hairspray set on the stain for a few minutes. The longer it set the better chance you have of removing the stain.

  3. Step 3

Use a toothbrush and scrub the stain in a circular pattern. Don't scrub too hard as the brush may damage the material.

  4. Step 4

Rinse stained area with water. If the stain is not completely gone repeat these steps. It may take a few times of spraying the area.

  5. Step 5

Before placing clothing in the washing machine, spray with a stain remover such as Shout® to be sure all the ink will be removed. Also try to wash the clothing as soon as possible.
