Step 1
PRAY. God does not lead his children anywhere he knows they cannot deal with. My favorite song by Mary Mary has these lyrics, "Nobody told me the road would be easy, but I don't believe he brought me this far to leave me."
-
Step 2
KEEP A GRATITUDE JOURNAL. Oprah Winfrey suggested this long ago on her talk show. Every day write 5 things that happened that day that you are thankful for. This allows you to focus on the positive.
-
Step 3
VOLUNTEER. Helping others helps us to realize how much we are blessed.
-
Step 4
MINIMIZE COMPLAINTS. Complaining brings negativity into our hearts and does nothing to help any situation. When you find yourself complaining, reel those things in and throw them away!
-
Step 5
BREATHE. Breathing helps relax the mind, body and soul and allows us to take a minute to truly rejuvenate.
-
Step 6
100 YEARS. In 100 years, will any one of this really matter? Remind yourself of that when you are stressing out at work, or dealing with unreasonable people and situations. Project to 100 years from now and realize that time is fleeting and precious. Don't waste it being negative about something that will not matter in 100 years.
-
Step 7
LEARN FROM MISTAKES. Mistakes can be viewed positively when we realize they are put into our life so we can learn from them. If we don't learn then a mistake becomes something negative.
