How to Reset the Language on an iPod
If you have ever accidentally selected a language you are unfamiliar with on your iPod, don't worry, there is a quick and easy solution. The language can be reset even if the displayed language cannot be understood. The procedure described below will work with any style or generation of iPod.

Go to the "Main Menu" by depressing the "Menu" button. The word "iPod" will appear at the top of the Menu title page. The word "iPod" will appear regardless of the language the iPod is set to.

Select the "Settings" page. Scroll down to the last "Menu" item and then move up one item. Press the "Center Select" button to open the "Settings" menu and scroll down to the last item, but do not select it. Scroll up 3 items and then press the "Center Select" button. The "Language" menu will appear. Highlight and choose the desired language from the available options.

Select the "Settings" page by following these directions for an older iPod with a color display. Scroll down to the fourth item and push the "Center Select" button to open the "Settings" menu. Scroll down to the last item, then scroll back up to the third item from the bottom. Press the "Center Select" button to access the "Language" menu. Choose the language desired and press the "Center Select" button.

Scroll down to the third item and press the "Center Select" button, which will open the "Settings" menu. Scroll down to the last item and then scroll up to the third item from the bottom. Press the "Center Select" button to open the "Language" menu. Select the desired language.
