Learn how easy it is to go from straight hair to fabulous, long last curls using hair curlers on wet hair.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Wash and condition your hair.

  2. Step 2

Blot your hair dry with a towel.

  3. Step 3

Apply a firm, strong hair gel or foam to your hair.

  4. Step 4

Comb your hair, parting your hair the way you normally wear it.

  5. Step 5

Start rolling your hair at the front, at your part. Gather the same amount of hair as the size of the roller. For small rollers, you will use smaller amounts of hair, for larger rollers, larger amount of hair.

  6. Step 6

Clip you bottom portion of your hair to the roller, then roll the hair up the roller to your scalp and clip again. It's the same technique you use with a curling iron but instead of the clasp holding the hair, the clips do.

  7. Step 7

Work along the front of your hair to the crown of your head. Next, roll the sides. Finally, roll the back.

  8. Step 8

When finished, spray hair with your favorite strong, firm hair spray.

  9. Step 9

Let your hair air dry for the healthiest option for your hair. This may take a long time depending on your hair length and texture. You may also use a blow dryer.

  10. Step 10

Once your hair is dry, remove rollers from the back of your head, at your neck and work your way up and to the front of your head.

  11. Step 11

Spray your hair again with hair spray.

  12. Step 12

Next, run your fingers through your hair for the fullest, largest curls. Or you may use a hair pick to give it a smooth look with some separation of the curls. Or, for a smooth, softer looking curl, comb or brush out.

  13. Step 13

Spray a finishing spray to finish.

Tips & Warnings
  • Choose smaller rollers for small curls and larger rollers for larger curls.
  • Mix up the rollers for a natural, varied look.
  • Do not over wrap your hair or you will have very loose curls.
  • Be sure to allow your hair to dry completely or your curl will not completely set.
