Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- Internet
- Account with Blogger
-
Step 1
The first thing you will want to do is decide what type of look you are aiming for. There are many choice out there, including 2, 3 or 4 column templates. It is always a good idea to look at other blogs to get some ideas. Sometimes you will be able to look at their template to see where they found it. Most of the time it is located at the bottom of their blog.
-
Step 2
Using your search can find you many free templates. There are tons of them out there. Some of which include OurBloggerTemplates and BTemplates.
-
Step 3
Another great idea is to network with other bloggers. You can sign up to forums where bloggers talk about all types of blogging issues. Some of your best information can be found on these forums. You can always ask what free template sites they would recommend. A couple great forums are BloggerTalk and BloggerForum.
-
Step 4
Once you have a found a template you like then save it to a file on your computer. Log into your blogger account select the "Layout" tab, then choose "edit html." You will then "browse" for the file you have saved and upload it. Keep in mind if you have already been working with this blog then you should save your template before doing any of this. Once you have uploaded your new template then you can click on save. Now you should be all set with a nice new template.
