When you have bought a brand new set of utensils from Ikea and arrive home, you have to decide what to do with all those old forks and spoons.
The fastest way to get rid of them is just tossing them in the trash bin, but actually you should consider what you can do to reuse them in a different way. Here's How!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use the forks to hold up plants like tomatoes. With the tongs on one end, place into the ground next to the root of the plant and with the handle, allow it to stand next to the stalk. Gently tie with a piece of rope and you have tomato poles. This can be used for any type of plant and forks work well!

  2. Step 2

Use the spoons to help you paint your portraits. Those pallets sometimes are too daunting! Instead take a dab of your color and place it into the center of your spoon. Dip your paint brush and paint. Using different colors, you could have many spoons and it is so easy to get the paint close to the area you are working in!

  3. Step 3

Mix up the dirt in hard to reach areas with a fork. Those mini flower gardens have to be weeded but those hand tools are too big. A fork can gently uproot weeds and toss soil very easily.

  4. Step 4

Give the spoons to the kids to play with. While the forks are too much, the spoons are fun for the kids! They can plan pirates with the spoon over one eye, give the dolly some medicine or my favorite, hang a spoon off your nose!

  5. Step 5

Recycle the spoons and forks by taking them to the local recycling facility. Being they are metal, you should be able to take them to the local recycling place and get them in the system to be reused!
